Services
This family owned business was founded by James J. Allard in 1945 as Allard Cement Works, a one man, one truck operation that mainly bought and sold gravel and concrete products. In 1984 his company acquired Coquitlam Concrete, a property on Pipeline Road in Coquitlam and subsequently built their existing head office there.
We have a full range of colour additives which are added to the concrete at the time of batch. When the concrete arrives on site the colour will be properly mixed and the concrete ready to use. The cost for each colour varies depending on the MPA and the quantity of pigment needed. Please call us for more information on colours and the cost of these products.
Concrete that freezes before the initial set will lose significant strength and will not be as resistant to future weathering. This is likely to happen when the air temperature is below 5 degrees C during the pour or within 24 hours after the pour. Damage to concrete placed in very cold weather can be prevented by using Winter Mixes and winter techniques.

Poor driving skills from truck driver #533 this morning, on Lougheed Highway heading East towards Coquitlam Center, at 10:20a.m.
Maybe his company would better serve us and everyone's safety by keeping him in the office...
Swerving from lane to lane with a multi-ton truck to possibly save couple minutes? Poor judgement...

Completely ripped me off, owner gets sour when they send bad mixes. Came back 1 year later and sold over $10,000+ of concrete, used there line pump twice for 2 hrs each time, they charged $2600, they wont give any explanation why. Everyone knows line pump minimums are $750 max. Completely unprofessional company.

I just called COQUITLAM Concrete. The fellow Steve that answered didn’t have a calculator and would not take my dimensions in inches and would not give me an estimate. I asked if I should call another outfit and he said yes. No wonder there are more bad reviews then good. So much for keeping my business local.

Please instruct your drivers to not park adjacent to the townhouses on Esmond in Burnaby! Other companies have had the good manners during the construction at Hastings and Boundary Road to park next to the grassy area on Esmond, then back into the 3700 blk alley from there, so it CAN be done!
The first truck (548) we saw today was parked right next to the townhouse (right below balconies where children play) on the west side and was completely blocking one of the two major business parking areas.
