when my place lost heat I called Prevent and they came right away. The person that showed up was very courteous and professional. He was in and out very quickly and the bill was much cheaper than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has any plumbing or heating issues.

Had a situation with a leaking faucet but the issue wasn't visible to the eye from my unit (only knew there was an issue when tenant next door started to notice water under her floor boards!) Joe from Prevent Mechanical came out around 11pm that evening to assess the situation. He was empathetic to both parties and determined the origin of the leak. After consulting with his superiors on next steps, he returned to complete the job in my unit. Everything seems to be in fine working order now thanks to Joe!

This company was hired by condo management for multiple items (kitchen lighting switch, hot water heating) but I was charged at an unbelievably high price and to the worse, nothing was fixed after all and the same issue remained. They simply explained they didn't know the causes of the problem. I asked them to remedy these but they ensured I would have to pay for the visit again so I gave up bringing the service. Later, asked if they could reduce the invoice (as none was fixed) but it was rejected. Never use this company and look elsewhere - quite arrogant and n little interest in customer's concern

We called on Prevent for a plumber as they are our condo corporation’s mechanical provider. The plumber showed up, was in our unit for 20 minutes and billed us for two hours of work! Then the plumber sat in his vehicle for 30 minutes. Even if they started billing as soon as the truck rolled - let’s say 30 minutes of driving time - I find it outrageous to be billed for two hours when they were in the home for 20 minutes - one hour of billing is much more realistic.
Next time we need a plumber, we’ll call on the competition - I know they don’t overcharge the way Prevent does.

Came to property three times to deal with an under sink leak. After three visits the leak finally repaired. Was billed for four service calls and when enquired about the fourth service call they claimed they were called out but had no record of doing anything. Three service calls and a fourth mystery service call to repair a leak under a sink does not fit with their name or service claims in their business biography.

Incompetent and will attempt to rip you off. Had a leaky sink. Restoration company arrived first, turns off the shut off valves and tells us the vanity needs to be replaced. Prevent shows up and I ask them to see if they can make the sink usable until the vanity is replaced. During their inspection they break the valve stem off the shutoff valve but they are still able to turn it off so I change my mind and ask them to just shut everything off and leave it alone.Prevent then advises our property management company that we need 2 new shut off valves (one that is working and one THAT THEY BROKE)

I have worked with Prevent Mechanical for a while now within the property management industry. Their service is exceptional and have fast response times especially when emergencies happen. Our account manager, Greg Plowright, is always available for answering questions, providing quotes in a timely fashion as well as speaking to Board members when they need clarification.
