Based upon my experience with Western Sky I gave them 5 stars. I had a problem with my furnace (would not stop blowing cold air). Travis quickly diagnosed my problem with the flame sensor and had the furnace working promptly. Prior to having Western Sky out, another company was out which told me I needed a new furnace when my furnace was still under warranty. I don't want to publicly bad mouth any company, but I will say the other company's name starts with the letter "C". Paula at the office was also nice to deal with.

My family and I figured it was time for an Air Conditioner this summer, like many Calgary families. I asked for quotes from a few places. Western Sky was the quickest about the quotes, and the most honest. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris. Chris showed me my options, his recommendations, and which units to watch out for if we decided to not contract Western Sky. I am downgrading the 5 star I originally gave them, let me explain, furnace was shutting off and on, they sent out a tech on his first visit who determined it was a flame sensor that needed to be cleaned and that's it, around $165 which is fair, problem still not resolved so a few days later same tech comes back and watches the furnace for about half hour and took an uneducated guess and ordered the motherboard, didn't really test anything I was for sure not convinced that was the issue, "tried to charge me a 2nd visit" anyways whatever,

I am updating the stars here, because the owner Chris resolved the situation , received from him extraordinary customer service. We appreciated it, thanks very much Chris.My husband did the appointment and the lady mentioned that he has to pay 50 for their technician togo out and 60 fordiagnostics and plus tax, after they will do the filter change which is included in. Sadly the technician came in and did diagnostic tests only and did nothing else and charged us 265, I asked him to wait and because my husband was 5min away getting the filter. For the past 35 years I have deal with numerous home contractors. I have never dealt with a contractor that has provided the level of service I have received from Western Sky. I called 8:30 Saturday morning with a furnace that wasn't working and there was someone at my house within an hour. When the problem was different from what they originally though they honored the initial price they provided even though the eventual fix was more. I recently contacted Western Sky Mechanical after my furnace kicked the bucket this winter and my pipes in my basement froze and burst. Faced with having to replace the furnace, the hot water tank and repair numerous breaks in the pipes - a cost that I could not afford at the best of times. I contacted Western Sky for troubles that we were experiencing with our furnace. We were also considering replacing the hot water tank at the same time given its age. Soon after contacting the company, Chris came by the house and provided us with an estimate. The estimates for a new high efficient furnace and hot water tank were very reasonable. The work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. I very much enjoyed the overall experience. We have used Western Sky Mechanical twice now. The first time to install a heater in our garage and now as an emergency when our furnace stopped working! Both times we found the service outstanding! The quotes received were accurate and competitive. The work was completed timely and professional. When we had our emergency service, we appreciated the owner taking the time to come see us when the other workers were busy, following up on our parts warranty and working hard to ensure that we had heat returned that same day before our kids got home!

Western Sky installed my AC unit in 2017 and did a great job. Installers were pleasant and left my home clean and tidy. The AC has been working great for 3 seasons now - love it!
This year (Sept 19) I had my hot water tank replaced with a larger power vent model and my old single stage furnace upgraded to a high efficiency 2-stage model. Again, the team at Western Sky have exceeded my expectations. They even relocated the hot water tank (moved gas pipe, water pipes etc.) to my desired location.
