Had the Energuy (recommended) come and do and assessment for the Greener Homes program and he recommended that we get our attic insulation repaired and improved to R50 and that some of the cost would be covered through the Greener Homes program. We obtained a few insulation quotes and picked Ideal - they were really IDEAL - they were the best price, the service was great and overall job well done. The installers were very careful (as careful as can be and allot of contractors have been through our house this year). In all, we highly recommend IDEAL INSULATION!

I recently purchased my property and was looking to upgrade my attic insulation. I contacted a few different places, but Ideal Insulation was priced right, and the most professional out of the all companies I dealt with. Initially dealt with Mike to set up my quote appointment, and he was super communicative, and asked all the right questions in what work I was wanting done. Greg came out and did my quote, and he was super knowledgable and fantastic to work with. Greg didn't try to push any additional services on me, and answered honestly when it came to all the questions and additional service

We invited Carlos to come and advise us on the the quality of our attic insulation as well as help us with a bathroom fan that vented directly into the attic space. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, his team came to install new attic insulation and a new gooseneck vent (for the bathroom fan) on our roof.
I was extremely happy with the quality of service and all the advice they had to offer regarding energy saving and how attic ventilation works.
The guys that did the work were really friendly and professional. Most of the time we didn't know they were here, they knew what they were doing

We had Ideal replace our old cedar roof, as well as repair/replace some trim and siding. They were very patient and great to work with throughout the process. We could not be happier with the end result and have had them back for small updates which were treated with the same level of service.

Sales person cancelled my blow-in insulation appointment twice without talking to me. Once for not filling out forms that were emailed to me that same day. And once for not calling in a deposit that was never asked for. He made a mistake on the estimate provided at my home and simply raised the price on the quote sent to me without informing me. On top of that, promised a 5% discount but when the quote arrived there was no discount. I went with a competitor. I hope this is a sales issue and not a company issue that is why the 2 out of 5.

I am a 30+ year tradesman myself (albeit not a roofer), and I was in need of new shingles this year. I received 5 quotes from 5 different companies. Not only did Mike from Ideal bring me the best (lowest) quote, but after a quick investigation of my roof and attic (with photos he had taken), he offered solid recommendations and showed me samples. A picture says a thousand words, these pictures are taken from my 2 year and 4 year olds rooms. We decided to pay extra for spray foam insulation. If I didn't catch Ideals sketchy work my family would have become sick and the house would be a tear down. A little icing on the cake. They weren't even suppose to be spraying. Just showed up unannounced. They said it looks good! Terrible experience and terrible company to deal with. My wife and I have been removing this foam for the past month after Ideal sprayed our dream home. They argued with me and to this day have not and will not apologize. It

We purchased a fifty year old house in Calgary and quickly realized just by looking at it that the attic insulation was inadequate (it was original wood chips, the vapour barrier was not in tact, and the vents for the bathroom fans and range hood were not to code). So we made calls to a few companies and had representatives from each come to our home to investigate it further. The best company by far was IDEAL Insulation and Roofing.
