Tamar Building Products can trace its origin to the over-counter sales of roofing materials at Meikar Roofing in the early 1940's. In 1952, Fred Meikar opened the doors of a rebuilt car lighter factory at 3957 Walker Rd. and called it Tamar Building Products after his wife, Tamara. In 1965, Mr. Meikar formed Windsor Siding & Moulding to provide Tamar a ready supply of aluminum products with minimum dependance on outside manufacturers.
For a small fee Tamar can deliver any or all of your material needed. Whether it be lifted up to the roof or dropped on the ground, Tamar has a large fleet of delivery trucks to ensure you receive your material in a timely manner. Both locations offer a designated area for you as a contractor or home owner to come in and make all your custom metal flashings and trims.

Closed and locked their doors atleast 10 minutes early. I arrived at 11:50 and doors were locked and closed.100% would not recommend as I drove from Belle River to find them closed and employees just staring at me through the Windows. What a horrible way to operate a business. Atleast stay open until your hours listed both on Google and on the doors. I will happily take my new build Windows and Patio door purchase to someone who actually cares. I realize that the employees won't care as it doesn't effect their paycheck, but the owner needs to realize customers won't stand for this and word of mouth

I called to inquire about some types of shingles and prices and was made to feel like I was bugging and wasting their time. I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to this stuff,so it would have gone a long way to spend an extra second or two. I hung up and called ROOF MART! The guy helping me was awesome. he took my dimensions and wrote out everything I needed to complete the roof and explained what each piece was. However.. Unfortunally I think people forget that kids exist. I had to bring my 2 year old with me as leaving him at home is frowned upon..... and he was a little happy and running around.. as anyone with… a toddler would know. Some comments and uncalled for noises were made towards my kid and I'm assuming our parenting. However with another kid due in 2 weeks and a very bad leak in my main room in the house I needed to go in and get this quote done

In and loaded with shingles in 20 minutes after the wind storm the day before!! Everyone was helpful, courteous and in good spirits considering how busy they were all day. I was able to get my roof repaired the same day because Tamar knows their inventory and has a great system in serving customers. Thanks
