Whether it's your furnace, boiler, heat pump, air conditioner, hot water tank, or plumbing that isn't working, Good Guys Heating Cooling & Plumbing has a technician with the expertise to get it running again. Upon calling, you will be able to select from several available appointment times. On the day of the repair, you will be called beforehand so that you know exactly when the technician will arrive.
Your current furnace must be over 10 years old, non-high efficiency, and not in need of repairs over $1000. A limited number of rebates are available. If your home is low income, you may qualify for a rebate of $2000-$3000. Low income is defined as having an income of less than $34,600 for a 1 person household, $43,100 for 2 people, $53,000 for 3 people, $64,300 for 4 people, $72,900 for 5 people, $82,300 for 6 people, and $91,600 for 7+ people.
Right now you can receive a rebate of $1000 when you install a 94%+ efficient boiler, or you can receive a $1500 rebate when you install a combination boiler to replace both your existing boiler and hot water tank. When you install a new heat pump you can get up to $5000 back through the federal Greener Homes Grant and up to $3000 back through the provincial CleanBC rebates. A heat pump is a single system that can provide both heating and air conditioning. In heating mode, a heat pump is much more energy efficient than a furnace, so it will save you money on utilities and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions as well.
