Such inflexible customer service. I have to admit before today I would have recommended the company. Now I have had terrible customer service. Talked to the individual about breaking contract. It is a bit absurd these days to be so inflexible. People are home and don't need security systems. They have cameras now you can "do it yourself" that do a better job of monitoring. Cheaper options for those with no income. However this company, being local shows no remorse. The customer agent literally hung up on me. Great service guys

These people are inept in every way. The installation was botched from the start. Every technician blamed the previous one. It never worked in 3 years. I had false alarms constantly and all I did was throw money at it from their recommendations. I found out that the monitoring station never got a signal from my house in 3 months. Then when I was finally done I called to unlock my board which I paid for and owned the installer said if the system was working correct the could have done it remotely. I refused to pay the bill and they put me in collections. These people are truly awful and deceitful

I have been very impressed with the great service from everyone at United Alarm. You have been quick to answer any questions and concerns, Gerald has been diligent and persistent with the programming options and the installer was very professional.
I tested the alarm today and within 2 minutes I received a phone call from the Monitoring Centre which was quite impressive.

Would NOT recommend United Alarm - extremely poor experience.
Purchased a home in October 2017 that came with a previously installed United Alarm system and I decided to maintain the service with them by signing up for an initial one-year service contract. This was to maintain the same hardware, house signage, etc. Note: all/most of my issues with United Alarm may have been avoided if I had purchased a new system as this inherited one was out of warranty and thus all repairs/service costs were not covered and led to out-of-pocket expenses. Any time I had an issue with it I received a shrug

We have been with United Alarm for 5 years now. Their service is great. If an alarm goes off they contact us in a quick manner. Recently 1 of our door sensor stopped working completely, then second door sensor was working and not working and the head unit battery had issue so it was displaying “low battery” after letting united alarm known of the issues the replacement parts were ready the next day for us to go and pick it up. we went to their office to buy the replacement products. While in their office we were treated great. Now I knew how to replace the head unit battery, program the new

I signed a contract with United Alarm with the knowledge that I would be moving the system as my house was for sale. They told me it was a piece of cake to move the system myself. It wasn't. When I asked them for assistance they wanted me to extend my contract. I felt this was unfair. We did come to an agreement where I would pay for a technician to come and hook the system back up. That was a month ago, I still haven't been contacted to schedule a date and time after I've tried contacting them!

Would definitely NOT recommend United Alarm.
1) their 'open 24 hours' is not true - the monitoring station are there 24/7 but the office is not and when there are problems with the system - guess what? You have to talk to the office. And all alarm companies have a 24/7 monitoring station with live people!
2) their technicians over the phone ask the dumbest questions and do not listen to what you are telling them - example: (me) my alarm code did not turn off the alarm (tech) do you want me to pull up the code list and check you have the correct code? (me) how long have I had my alarm

This company is ridiculous! I wanted to move to another Alarm company as it works with my smart home system, since I was still under contract with United Alarm I decided to keep their service until the contract was up. When the Contract was up, I called to cancel my service with United
and switched over to ADT who set up my system and boxed the panel from United - Fast forward two months, I called United to ask if they wanted their Panel back as they never told me that they needed the equipment back as it was collecting dust in my garage, they said yes and that someone would call me for pick

At our office my bosses have used this company for the last 6 years
So we decided call them and 2 other companies, one was out in toronto the other company hasn't return our call. ( been waiting. Over 2 years )
So we went with united alarm here, the other i called for a new battery , today they showed up with a Battery change , flashlights and other gifts

I have had a bad experience with these guys also. They installed a "free" alarm and had me sign a contract for monitoring services. The alarm never did work properly and after showing up a couple of times to fix it it still never worked. I was upset and tried talking to the owner, president maybe... anyways his name was Vince.
This got me nowhere and when I threatened to cancel my subscription they said fine, pay up for the equipment installed. when I said no they threatened to put a lien on the house. I checked into it also, and legally they can do this. They don't tell you that
