Mermac Construction Ltd. was founded in 1978 by Merle Derochie (Mer) and Jim MacQuarrie (Mac) as a subsidiary of Park Derochie Ltd. Gordon Robinson joined the company in 1979, and George Whalen in 1980 and both became partners.
With our in-house design, drafting, and permit preparation department, Mermac offers a complete "Turnkey" service, from inception to occupancy, and can handle any portion of a contract as required. We exceed our clients expectations for their specific building needs and we look forward to each challenge presented to us.

Our company assisted Mermac with work at a meat processing plant. It has been months of attempting to contact them to receive payment for the work completed. There has been a complete lack of communication/correspondence. Any companies/clients looking to work with Mermac should be VERY cautious. It seems the company is still active so we cannot understand why the matter is going unresolved or being avoided. Please upgrade your professionalism Mermac.

The company its self maybe a great place but the slogan they have on the back of the hats they have is a farce. Saftey first maybe be on the job site but not behind the wheel of their company vehicles. Illegal passing, speeding even stopping and blocking traffic so said driver could get out and road rage over his illegal driving. Now does that speak saftey?
