Our water heater stopped working on Thursday. I booked an online appointment Thursday evening. Friday morning at 8am I received a phone call from ClearView that the technician could be at our house at 8:30am. Heinz was there at 8:30am, identified the problem and provided a solution. John was very knowledgeable, explained the issues and what needed to be done and gave me several options.
Great service - fast, responsive, clear communication on what the process would look like and the service was great as well. Clearview plumber Cody Keir came out the same day I called to unblock my kitchen sink pipe. My husband had been working on it for 3 days but the plug was too far down the line.
Cody had it cleared and the sink back together in no time. I didn't hesitate to call Clearview again after my air conditioner experience this summer and they are my go-to company from now on for all our house needs. Blake McGloan and his assistant installed the new furnace unit and Sean Brosinsky repaired AC unit.

Services
In 1996, when my partner and I started ClearView, we just had one truck and our office was in the basement. We knew that every customer mattered, so we decided to treat customers the way we would want to be treated. The seed for this idea of customer service was planted in me at age 12 when I read How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Want to do more with your career? At ClearView, we stretch far beyond your average plumbing & heating services company. We challenge ourselves each and every day to achieve "the difference factor". That is, the difference we make in the lives of the people we serve and the people who make it all possible: our team members.
When you were a small child you were probably taught not to take candy from strangers, and to always get multiple quotes on any home repair jobs. We understand that, which is why all of our quotes are prepared and provided by experienced, licensed technicians. When we make a quote-we stand by it, we guarantee it, and if you don't like our work, you don't pay for it.
Now there's a conundrum. But let's face it. There are times when your finances may be temporarily under water, along with your basement, kitchen or bathroom! Now that's not at all convenient. You could call up your banker and ask him if knows anything about plumbing, but he won't. Or, you could call up Clearview and ask us if we know anything about financing, and we do!
Why pay for both a Spring A/C Tune-Up AND a Fall Heating Tune-Up every year when you could save and maintain your home's value?. Get peace of mind because you'll be able to count on your heating and air conditioning systems when you need them most! As a Planned Service Member your call will be scheduled ahead of others, which is particularly important if you need us on one of the hottest or coldest days of the year.

Clear view came to my house on one of the coldest days of this winter when I had no heat. The guy was polite when he told me I needed a new motor and he called Carrier then told me there was only one motor left in the city and it would cost $1,611. I paid him to pick it up because I thought my pipes could freeze if I couldn't get one, I called a friends exhusbad and he said there are tons in the city and he has 6 in his truck. He charged $490 to install it.
Clear view was creating a panic buying situation by lying and taking advantage of the cold weather. They took over a week to refund

Had the first tech come for an igniter issue. Paid enough to have someone clean it. Then it quit again and a new tech came and gave us 6 different reasons it wasn’t working every time he came up to talk with us. Said he fixed it. The furnace didn’t run all day which I thought was odd. Then I go down in the evening and we have no power to our furnace at all. Go with someone who is trustworthy and does the job right the first time. They’ve lost my trust and patience
Update: called the next morning and the tech informed me he shut off the furnace because if it ran it’d destroy components

I contacted ClearView to deal with a furnace issue. As I told them, based upon the careful assessment by an experienced Atco technician, I needed to have a high heat switch replaced and also needed a new simple thermostat for my garage heater. The ClearView tech showed up without the required parts, did not assess the outside vents, started by criticizing Atco and then proposed 5 completely unnecessary options, including a $32,000 option, down to $900 ($425 to replace the $20 dollar thermostat and $500 for some unclear maintenance on the two basement furnaces). I felt like I was in the midst

Clearview came and looked at my girlfriends 2 year old Amana furnace. Was charged $60 to show up(no problem) plus $189 (pay before we do anything) diagnostic fee which included "recommendations for the BEST course of action moving forward"
She was told the part wasn't available and could take up to 90 days to get and would cost $2000. to fix. as well as the furnace wasn't sized properly for the house (when it was) and it would be best to replace it. $15,000.
Clearly the technician wasn't interested in doing any thing more than a very basic assessment and selling her a new furnace. He was there

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness
Called and got same day service. Tech was professional and explained what he was going to be doing. It ended up being a cleaning of the flame sensor so no parts were replaced. The cost was more than I expected but it is what it is. I’m sure he didn’t set the pricing. I’m satisfied with the response and service.

Had clear view in to look at our furnace that was heating poorly and randomly, fellow was punctual and very friendly. Sadly the quote was so over priced and padded, 4000.00 to repair a 1 stage furnace for a bungalow, 8000.00 to replace, 4000.00 for a 40 gal plain Jane hot water tank. Husband had changed the filter on Sunday tech said it was filthy.
Called 2 other places for quotes/ assessment furnace is fixed was only a dirty sensor and cost 140.00. If you have money to burn and enjoy a padded invoce this is the company for you.. All the quotes were for a 2 stage furnace we have a one stage, tech

Friendly service, professional and courtesy clean up.
I will NOT recommend Clearview to anyone simply because the cost is outrageous. They charged me 600 dollars to replace a 3 foot poly b from my bathroom sink. Ridiculous cost. Good work but cannot justify the price. I asked the guy how much to replace a 50 Gallon hot water tank and he said it would be 2500-3500 dollars. Pete the plumber is only 1000 dollars. Just fyi

Called them up because the other company who came to look at our furnace basically ghosted me. Clearview showed up same day, early, and gave us all we could ask for and more.
Our furnace is basically dead and John had us set up to get a new one within 2 days. On Christmas eve right before a deadly cold snap is to hit the city no less.
Very impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism. John was pleasant and informative, giving us all the details and several options to meet our needs.
They aren't the cheapest out there but my wife and I believe you get what you pay for and these guys

Our water heater stopped working and I called Clearview Services for assistance to get it fixed. They had a technician come out to our place swiftly and the problem was fixed in under an hour and a half. Fantastic. Would definitely use their services again.
Also, the technician sends you a text with a brief intro and a link to real time location of the vehicle so that you have some peace of mind as to the location of the technician and the eta. I also received a phone call immediately after the text to confirm pricing.
The technician was professional and got the job done really quickly.

Came out to unclog a toilet this morning. The charge would have been $600 + $70 service fee. It was a clogged toilet, he told us the drain was fine. This had to be paid up front and the reason for the exorbitant fee? He might break the toilet and have to replace it. Am I not paying for a professional who can unclog my toilet without breaking it? And would this not be his responsibility if he did? The cost of a new toilet if needed - $900, it would need to be gold plated for me to pay this much for a toilet. We declined. There are other plumbers out there that won't try to gouge you.

Very expensive in comparison to my regular company. Had to call on the weekend for furnace. $169.00 for dispatch fee plus 189.00 for diagnostic. No parts on the weekend but told me the draft motor, circuit board controller and ignitor were all shot. Estimate of $2452.00 Also showed us a picture of our heat exchanger and said he thought it was in bad shape. The natural next thought is why put $2400 into something that is near failure right? Then we are discussing an $8000.00 furnace he can have installed by Tuesday. We just had the furnace serviced by regular company so had them come back. They

They came on short notice. Customer service at that time was excellent. They they were overpriced and failed the first inspection. Two years later the furnace started leaking. The next year it had trouble with the cycling fan and stopped producing heat altogether. My husband had committed suicide and I couldn't find the paperwork so they would not honour the warranty even though it was not quite two years old. It starts leaking at random and it has now ruined the adjacent bathroom floor and walls. I get that things break down but seriously? No record of spending over $10,000???

This is the worst plumbing and heating company we've ever used. Sold us expensive AC repairs in August then convinced us we needed a maintenance contract for heating & AC. When it came time for our free heating service they cancelled several times prior to showing g up. Once there our dependable old Lennox furnace was beyond their capabilities to service. Save your hard earned $ and look elsewhere for furnace / AC service.

I would have left them zero stars if I could. Clearview changed unnecessary parts, their charges were OUTRAGEOUS and they did NOT EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM! We're telling our friends and neighbors to STEER CLEAR of CLEARVIEW Plumbing and Heating!
Our furnace began producing significantly less heat in January 2019 due to what ultimately turned out to be a bad $10 part, the fan motor capacitor. Clearview completely misdiagnosed or ignored the real problem and put in a low quality aftermarket fan motor. When that didn't help, they told my wife the control board was bad and they could not get

I had these guys come out to replace an anode rod in my hot water tank and the first guy that was sent out spent almost an hr explaining some options before even looking at the hot water tank and when I said I just wanted the rod replaced, he then looked at the tank and didn't have the socket wretch with him, I had even told the office ahead of time what I wanted replaced.
They sent out another person the following day and he had the socket but they actually needed a power wretch to remove the rod. He had to return to their office to get the power tool. Two wasted days and the hot water

Dealing with Clearview Pluming turned out to be very costly. I had a pipe leaking in my basement so
I called Clearview. The fact is the company sent a technician quite fast. After selling pitch the technician
came up with a few options .Each of them was extremely costly, but having water dripping I picked up one.
The job took about 1 hour and cost me about $1100. I didn't receive an invoice until I had to call
the Company and specifically ask for it. The invoice supposed to be the detailed one but it didn't itemize
the material/parts cost, labor cost, labor time. Only task symbols

I sure wished I would have read these reviews before I called ClearView. My bad! But when you wake up in December and your furnace is not working you start calling around ASAP. They are great in responding and dispatching service people, the service guy was very friendly and technically capable BUT $1400 to replace a blower fan (part was $200) that took about 10 mins! I agree with others that their all in pricing is shameful. And who has the nerve to shop around when the temp of you house is dropping hourly.

Gerry the field technician was great. Clearly knew what he was doing and solved the problem right away. I only give three stars because I found the price to be quite high in comparison to other groups. I could have taken the time for another quote, but I still would have needed to pay the call out fee and take another half day away from work. I would happily recommend them if something needs to get done right and fast, but if you have the time I would suggest looking for a less expensive company.

Do not recommend the company on small jobs. They re-scheduled twice in a matter of a week, saying technician "tied up on other jobs". Not reliable. Booked 1/2 days for each appointment to get a call on first after 5 PM on day before to ask to re-schedule, reschedule and they call in last 5 min of window (8 to noon) to say we would like to come out later in afternoon. Cancelled job.

My recent experience with Clearview Plumbing in Calgary was absolutely awful. I DO NOT recommend calling them for any plumbing work that you have. My issues were in two areas:
1) When I called to book for a plumber to come to my house I was given a four hour window in which they would arrive. The plumber did not arrive until more than 2 hours after that window had closed, thereby wasting my time waiting for someone to show up.
2) On arrival the technician looked at the requirements for completing the job, went out to his truck to produce a quote and then returned with a quote for over $1300
