The technicians are not plumbers. Just trained in operating a drain auger. The technician I had exhibited low plumbing knowledge, and was not equipped or willing to work near the sewage debris (not pooling) that had come up the drain as a result of our drain block, which was surprising. After an event like that, I am reluctant to have a cleaning crew in until the blockage is resolved. I recommend calling a real plumber that has similar drain line angering equipment, you’ll get better service.

I have been using Roto-Rooter over many years, since 2012 if not sooner. Every two years you come out and clean out my line of 150 ft. I’m in Bon Accord and it doesn’t matter when I’ve called, they come the same day. A portion of my line is old clay tile so I can tend to have issues every couple years. I had an issue again today with some back up… and you sent some one within an hour and a half. John was fabulous. He remembered being here before. Turns out he was here in 2018 so he already knew my issue. Very friendly and very efficient. Thank you Roto-Rooter for your service

Prompt, excellent service! Professional, knowledgeable technicians. Tech, John, knew exactly what to do and how to fix the problem with my drainage (kitchen sinks in basement and main floor were very clogged and were backing up into each other- so gross!). He did his work quickly, efficiently and cleaned up after himself, leaving these areas looking better than when he came in! :) He answered all questions/concerns I had. Highly recommended!

Plumber left his used mask in my bathroom and insisted he didn’t need to wear one when he came in to reconcile the bill, inside my house even when I asked him. Completely unprofessional in the time of COVID19. After calling my regular plumber and determining what my problem was, a clogged branch line, roto rooter sent out someone to help me. He insisted that he needed to look at the main line. Of course he found nothing because my main line is brand new. The charge for 1/2 hour was 566.00.

We received exceptional service from Scott who arrived as scheduled to clear a clogged kitchen drain. Although the job proved challenging -- he was here for a good two hours -- Scott proved more than equal to the task. He not only cleared the drain but also identified a problem previous plumbers had missed. He took the time to explain the work needed and to answer our many questions. Exceptional service from a consummate professional.

I don't normally leave reviews, but for this company I had to make an exception. We had a clog in our toilet that we tried to fix ourselves but that obviously did not work. I called and within an hour, someone came by to fix our problem. He fixed it in less than 5 minutes and was nice enough to answer some of our questions. We will definitely call them again for future issues.

I had a drain backing up on new years eve and it escalated quickly. I made a call to Roto-rooter main line and within 25 minutes I had a technician at my house. Booked an inspection of the main line in a house we were looking to purchase. The company had trouble locating the house and were extremely irritated and rude when i was trying to offer directions. When the plumber got here he was angry and unfriendly. After doing the inspection he said "it would back up within a week". So i got a second opinion from another certified plumber who said it doesnt need cleaning anytime soon. That was three months ago and its been fine. Not impressed with companies that try to money grab and take advantage of those who wouldnt know any better.

I had to use this company today due to sewer back up and had a very positive experience with them. They were very helpful on the phone and had someone out to fix our problem first thing in the afternoon. John was the plumber that came out and was extremely helpful and professional in his interaction. I had published a negative review previously(about a month ago), more due to the front end service but they have definitely redeemed themselves. The reception service today was very helpful. Thank you John and Rotor-Rooter for doing a great job.
