TDL has been manufacturing, designing and installing solar thermal systems for over 35 years. Our team of professional engineers and technicians can design and install a system for all your heating and electrical requirements. Whether its off grid or grid tied, solar heat or electricity, let our team of professionals find the solution that is best for you.
After a successful pilot project, Regional Council approved the continuation of the Solar City program for three years. The program will increase the opportunities for property owners to save money and reduce their environmental impact by offering property owners three solar technology options: Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Solar Hot Air and Solar Hot Water.
To be considered an eligible participant to register, you must be a property owner who is either the owner of a private property or a property owner who is incorporated as a co-op or not for profit. Conventional water heating can be costly. If you currently heat your water with electricity, we offer rebates or financing to help you supplement your domestic hot water heating with thermal solar technology.

Had a 15 cell Solar panel system (photo-voltaic) installed with Thermo Dynamics. Right from the start they had the best customer service. They were the only company of the 4 we got quotes from that actually came out and looked at the house in person. From that they were able to help us design the best set-up for us. Thankfully they also came in with the best quote! We went through HRM's "Solar City Program" and Thermo Dynamics not only did great designing and installing the system, but they helped guide us through the HRM program too. Plus they were always very quick at answering any questions

And it feels great every time I take a shower with solar heated water. Saves money too!

We have owned a Thermo dynamics solar hot water heater since 2002 and calculate that it paid for itself in 8 years. The maintenance has been minimal, but anytime that I needed help, the staff, Rob Machalko and Paul Sajko, were excellent. They even gave me instructions via email and text on how to maintain my own system. This greatly reduced costs and also allowed me to feel a great sense of autonomy with my system. As they say, "energy costs are rising and so is the sun". I smile every sunny day as my system hums along pre-heating my hot water.
Thank you for all your help,

34 years....yes 34 years is how long our Thermo Dynamics hot water system in Dartmouth has been operational...since 1984. What does that even mean in this age of planned obsolescence ? Money in your pocket, some of which that would have paid for fuel ...and left NS for good. We have a 3 panel system that saved around $500/year on average, taking inflation into account . 34x$500= $17,000. It cost $4000 total, installed back in 1984. In 2013 we added a PV system and in 2016 our total annual power consumption from NSP was $252. I have been posting this stuff for years on my Facebook...my friends know
