Once upon a long time ago business owners operated under a simple acumen "The customer is King"
We needed a simple repair replacing the hot water line from our dishwasher.
The part price $25.00.
The time taken to repair was 1 hour.
The bill we were presented was $408.39!!!
I called there office to express my bewilderment and have them explain how they arrived at this cost.
There was a service fee $59.95 and parts/labor was $326.00.
My math maybe faulty but these equates to an hourly rate of $300.00 and they already added the service call as an extra.
Their spokesperson stated this method

I hired this company to do the gas fitting and plumbing in a new house I was building in Sunnyside. I knew I was in trouble after the first day when they ran the water lines though attic on the cold side of the insulation. They cut large holes in the floor joists so I had to get it re-engineered and repaired .They supplied the plumbing fixtures, they put them in the house about 6 months before they were needed, even before the framing was done. They were in the way and surely would have been stolen so they took them out and gave me an invoice for storing them. They failed to properly install a

Hot water tank broke (still under warranty) that Hansen installed in 2015. Quote from company was $900. Which I accepted. When service tech was finished after approximately 3 hrs (time in my home) and no additional parts - just replacement of the same exact tank which was still under warranty - bill was $1300. I phoned and said this was not acceptable. Reply was the didn’t know it was a gas hot water tank (they installed it!). Also said they would have Ryan phone back to discuss. He didn’t. I would advise to get a quote in writing if you ever deal with this company.

Ryan has done several jobs for me over the past few years. Most recently we installed air conditioning in a new home and although there were issues associated with the builder, Ryan and his team were able to solve the problems and get the job done. Overall the team at Hansen is responsive, professional, and provide excellent quality. Would recommend for and plumbing or heating job.

Thought we had an issue with a slow leak in the water heater so called Ryan. Excellent work in getting to the root of the matter, even though it had nothing to do with the water heater. Traced the leak right back to the base flaw, and stayed on the job until everything was resolved to our complete satisfaction. Absolutely no hesitation in calling him for future servicing and maintenance. Very thorough and professional.

He also took the time to answer some questions that we had and provided a fair quote for some work that we will be needing in the near future.

Our furnace was making some interesting sounds and from my past experience with Hansen Plumbing and Heating they were the first people to call. They were easy to book, punctual and had the job of installing new motor complete within a couple hours all for a very fair reasonable cost. Highly recommend!
