Baxtec Mechanical Services is a mechanical contractor in the Ottawa area specializing in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation, and Plumbing trades for the commercial and industrial sectors. With our constant focus on knowledge building and professionalism, you can count on Baxtec to be a solid resource for your mechanical systems.
Baxtec has built a team of highly motivated, well trained technicians & administrative staff. We persistently seek out the best people to join our team and we strive to continually improve. We meet monthly to inform staff of continuing educational opportunities, streamline administrative practices, and alert our staff of changes in codes and regulations.
HVAC equipment is invisible when it works well however once it fails, it can cause discomfort, lost productivity, and costly damage. A properly designed maintenance program can reduce the risk of breakdowns and results in lower operating costs in the long run. Baxtec offers maintenance programs for standard comfort heating/cooling systems to mission critical server facilities to multi dwelling condominium properties.
Recently, we switched our service provider to Baxtec for our HVAC and gas fired process equipment needs. I have found the Baxtec team to be professional, Knowledgeable, and courteous. This has been the case since the initial meeting, quoting stage, through implementation of PM's and services. It is clear that Baxtec employees value customer relations, possess skills required to support their specific trades, and or positions.
Baxtec Mechanical Services employs Gas Fitters (I, II, III), Commercial Refrigeration Technicians, Plumbers, and Sheet Metal Installers. We have a well developed apprenticeship program and we often sponsor co-op students from a number of schools in our community. Baxtec also employs an experienced technical team to support our field operations.

After 4 months, 7 wasted vacation days on technician visits, $6,000, a new heat pump chassis, and numerous frustrations, my heat pump is finally working again. DO NOT choose Baxtec to service your condo or apartment heat pump!

The unit would cut out and blow warm air after the temperature inside my unit reached 24 degrees, tripping the high-pressure sensor. Mike C is very knowledgeable, nice to my residents and staff and requires very little supervision, he seems to always save the day at my building every time we need help with plumbing! Cleans up his mess each time and always follows up before he leaves the job site. These thing's are key for Condo buildings. His above and beyond approach deserves extra incentive.

Baxtec replaced the A/C unit in my condo but brought one which was too big for the space so they needed to remove baseboard and drywall
Full story - They came to my place, looked at my unit, indicated they had the right unit to replace it. I trusted them to know their business and paid $2000 deposit. It was 4 months before they delivered the unit. They removed the old one and then indicated oppsie the new unit is a bit deeper than the old one.
They never measured my place and/or double checked the size the of the unit they were going to provide. So they needed to removed the baseboard and dry
