The Ellis family contacted Knotty Pine Cabins in 2018 when they decided they wanted to down size and live the simple life. Within 8 weeks, the floor plan for their new home was finalized and their cabin package was on it's way to their lot in Greenwood, BC. The Ellis family was very hands on throughout the process so it came as no surprise when they told us they were going to take care of the on-site assembly themselves.

Am a BC owner builder of a Knotty Pine Cabin, which we designed as a retirement aging-in-place home. Construction was a labour of love and the house with attached garage turned out beautiful. The Knotty Pine kit was great to work with and all materials supplied were excellent. Jeremy was even better than great, he was available almost 7/24 to pick-up the phone and answer questions. No hesitation on giving Knotty Pine a 5 out of 5 and would recommend this building option to anyone considering either a cottage or a home.

We purchased a small 12 by 16 loft cabin from Knotty Pines!. Picking the design and working with the team to execute our plan was fun and we were always well supported. My husband was thrilled to have the chance to build the cabin and was able to get support as often as needed when he had questions. The structure came up just as we had hoped and we were very pleased with the quality! If we ever plan to build our dream home- we will not hesitate to work with them again!

We worked with Megan to complete the design of our 24x48 layout. We requested some unique design elements (ex. the deck beam structure, floor plan changes) that Knotty Pine was happy to accommodate.
The process is unique compared to a generic home builder as many of the elements of a Knotty Pine cabin are owner supplied and installed. This was a slight challenge to differentiate scope as some things you might expect to be included in the build package are not and you need the knowledge to ask if that is the case. An example

We self-built our own 30x40 Knotty Pine that we will be using for year round living! The staff was super friendly and great to deal with. Megan was so much help getting the planning stages all figured out, and Jeremy was huge help during the building process. Any advice needed was just a phone call away. With minimal building experience, it took us about 3 months to get it to lock up and 8 months to have it move in ready. I am very impressed with how solid their design is, and how well insulated and efficient it is. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to build their own home/cabin.

We could not be happier with our Knotty Pine cabin! We had them build it to lock up and then we finished the interior ourselves. Alana and Jeremy have been excellent to deal with from start to finish and were always available for our many evening/weekend/last minute questions. They addressed all our concerns in a timely/efficient manner and went above & beyond on more than one occasion! Their crew was extremely friendly and happy to discuss the build during our many site visits. They even passed along some tips and tricks to use for the interior finishing which was incredibly helpful. This cabin

Had a small 2 bedroom house on our farm that burned due to an electrical fire. We always called it our cabin so we thought we should build a cabin in its place. Everyone at Knotty Pine Cabins was so helpful. Their product is beautiful and of great quality. With a limited budget from the insurance money we were able to estimate the cost right from their website. Since we used the same foundation as the old house it was more challenging but the builders that we hired through Knotty Pine were top notch. We can’t wait to continue our family memories in the cabin. We will refer anyone to Knotty Pine

We had a great learning experience, we built our own cabin! The design team was super, we were able to make our cabin our own. We had it shipped to PEI and that went smooth, it arrived on time and the driver was very helpful unloading all the parts and pieces.
The floor system was a bit of a problem but knotty pine worked with us over the weekend and it was all good. It always seemed that it was a weekend or late in the day that I had questions and they were always there for us. With our lack of knowledge they were always patient with us. We built the cabin as a home, it has an icf foundation

We built a Knotty Pine Cabin this summer and we had Knotty Pine do both the exterior and the interior. They used quality materials and the work was completed on schedule. We worked with Megan and she was extremely helpful and even though we had a few glitches she always listened and did not make excuses. Our satisfaction with the company and the build was what was important to her. We love our cabin and I would highly recommend Knotty Pine Cabins.

Knotty Pine Cabins has been amazing to work with throughout the process of the build (and beyond). They were so accommodating for my many, many, many requests, changes, questions, etc. The construction crew was polite and professional - I felt bad for them as there were quite a few days of horrible weather that slowed them down but my cabin sure went up quickly. I still have some things to complete on the cabin but I'm already in love with it. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Knotty Pine Cabins to people as I can't say enough great things about them.

Knotty Pine Cabins just put up my dream cabin near Jasper. Jeremy and Alana were awesome to work with throughout the whole process. They bent over backwards to accommodate some custom radiant flooring that I ordered and were so responsive when I called or emailed (which was like all the time). They put up with my indecisiveness, questions, comments, and craziness for months and the outcome is amazing. The cabin looks awesome. It's solid and just beautiful. I highly recommend Knotty Pone Cabins!
