Adequate work but very heavy billing. Quality of the work wasn’t an issue but the amount of time it took to do the job and the amount I was billed seemed very high. Diagnosed a burnt out motherboard, came back the next day to change it and covert my boiler from water to glycol and it took them 12.5 billable hours to accomplish that. Just be aware before you hire it will be expensive.(based off of previous companies I have hired for this type of work)

Nortec Plumbing was brought in by a foreman overseeing some kitchen and laundry renovation at our house a couple of years ago. Nortec installed new plumbing in the kitchen and laundry room. All their work was done well.
We recently had a foul sewer odor coming up in the basement near our drainage system that was installed in the sixties. After two days of trouble shooting, I called up Nortec for help. They spent a bit of and helped me resolve the issue over the phone. The sewer odor is now gone, and they saved me the cost of a call out.
I will use Nortec again and would recommend them to anyone

It was Sunday morning when the boiler of a 15 unit apartment building shutdown and the outside temperature was minus 40. I was very pleased with the quick response from Rob, the on call technician to travel one hour to troubleshoot the boiler. Brian who also works for Nortec was involved with the boiler shutdown and with their many years of experience got the Viessmann boiler up and running. l was very pleased and grateful for the excellent service they provided. l highly recommend Nortec Plumbing. Thank you, Nortec Plumbing.

I do not recommend. Buyer beware.
Estimate went up 60% when I got the invoice.
Paid $186 for a bottle of Fernox F1 when it's $54.89 on Amazon.ca, or $90.45 at Amre Supply in Edmonton.
Tried to talk to mgmt, but he was no help at all.
You also pay for the technician once he either leaves his house or the office, i was told both on my call with manager. My technician apparently left the office at 8am, was at my house at 8:34am for a 9am appointment. Basically I paid for him to wait in his vehicle. I paid for 4.5 hours, 8-12:30pm. Not cool. It's nice that I have camera's recording people coming

We have used Nortec for the last 15 years for maintenance and repair on our boiler system. The expertise required to service our boiler system and the electronics to go with it are very complicated and require a skilled technician. We have also used Nortec for various other plumbing related issues i.e.replacing outside water valves, running waterlines for a new fridge and replacing sump pumps. Everything has been done in a timely and professional manner. When they have completed their job, everything is cleaned and it looks like they were never there.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Mike and the team at Nortec over the past year while building our new home. They completed all plumbing/fixtures/hot water tank and installed the boiler system and more than 4000 sq ft of in slab heating. At every opportunity, they went above and beyond to ensure the job was done to the highest standard. Every small details was attended to. Everyone we met on sight was professional, friendly, helpful and took great pride in their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Nortec to anyone looking for the highest quality work on their project.

I did not have a good experience at Nortec, l was minimum overcharged by $400 from Brian. My hot water tank quit and he charged me $1500+Tax for the install. Got another Plumber/Boiler to come by and they told me how much l would have normally paid. Nortec gave me an Invoice with no breakdown of time, cost of water tank, hourly rate, Nothing! Not even hot water tank serial or model number for warranty purposes!! Only total cost! Was a simple install. 2hrs of work!! As a female Consumer, they will take Advantage of You! Very very poor Customer Service! Avoid!!
